What is Globalization?
What is Globalization?
1. we discussed and defined globalization
- we were able to determine the aspects of globalization; political, economic, environmental, social, cultural, and technological.
2. we had a discussion on our understandings of globalization.
3. we read about Marshall McLuhan's "Global Village" - how he had foreseen the development of social globalization through the "media"
4. we identified key words in the article "Closer Than You Think" that are connected to the concept of globalization - co-operation, diplomacy, relationships, interconnected, dependent, foreign policy, cultural influence, environment, security, foreign relations, trade etc.
5. For Homework; we are to complete the survey - How has Globalization touched my home?
Before you left today you also had to hand in the Current Events Analysis #1

The Best Alternative
Today we....
1. Group Project - Shared group information on Alternative Fuels and then Shared the various perspectives.
2. Then we completed a long paragraph answer to this question: Which one of these fuels should the Canadian government invest in developing?
Tomorrow we will write a position paper. Here is the question; How might globalization impact the future of these fuels?
3. Collected; 'Environmental impact of oil development' assignment & 'The Best Alternative Project'
